A Carmel kitchen where stone, timber and metal were chosen as one palette rather than three separate decisions.
A showcase kitchen carries an unusual brief. It has to photograph well, survive thousands of visitors walking through it, and still function as a real family kitchen once the tours end.
We planned the room around a single generous island, with the working zones pushed to the perimeter so circulation stays clear even when the space is full. Cabinetry runs to the ceiling to keep the lines quiet, and the range wall carries the only real ornament in the room.
